Nature of request
Writ from Edward II to Richard de Rodeney, Escheator south of the Trent, asking him to inquire into whether Henry Squirel was seised of certain tenements in Havering-atte-Bower as he claims, or not, and into other circumstances concerning the business.
Nature of endorsement
[Endorsement of SC 8/87/4328] It seems to the council that, if the inquisition on this is returned in Chancery, the lands and tenements should be restored to Henry, together with the issues, notwithstanding the reason contained in the wirt. And so, when that inquisition has been examined in Chancery, justice is to be done to him there on this.
