Eleanor, widow and executrix of Henry de Segrave, complains of various robberies of her late husband's goods, and asks that Walter de Norwyz, Gilbert Peche, John de Crombewell, Robert de Bardilby and Henry de Clif, or two of them might be appointed to inquire into this.
Nature of endorsement
With regard to the removal of goods and chattels, certain justices are to be appointed in Chancery to inquire into those goods and chattels and their removal, and by whom and how etc., and the inquisition is to be returned in Chancery.The Treasurer is to have the advice of Walter de Norwyz on this business.
