Nature of request
William de Schyrwode states that in Lent in the King's eleventh year, Simon de Goseford enfeoffed him of certain tenements in Saxlingham Nethergate, and Saxlingham Thorpe, and put him in seisin; but that Simon's son John and others wrongly disseised him of these tenements at the close of Easter following. He has sued an assize of novel disseisin, which has found in his favour. He asks the King to order the justices to proceed to judgment on this assize, or to inform the King at once why they cannot or will not do this.
