Nature of request
Simon, son of Wadyn de Rosse, states that his father served the King and his father for thirty years and more, in Gascony, Wales and Scotland; and that he lost goods and lands in the Scottish war, and was captured and beheaded at Berwick, leaving Simon and his four brothers and sisters destitute. He requests some aid from the King in some abbey or elsewhere where it might please the King.

Coram rege.Advice is to be taken on the place; and the King is to be informed of this, and he will speak his will on it.
