Men of Oxford and of the whole county of Oxfordshire.

Nature of request
The men of Oxford and of the whole county request the removal of the gorces in the River Thames between London and Oxford, so that provisions and merchandise can be brought there as they were in Edward I's time, for the benefit of King and people.
Nature of endorsement
Justices are to be appointed in Chancery to inquire into these nuisances, and to supervise the gorces etc., and to remove the nuisances, so that provisions can be transported without impediment as should be done for the benefit of the King and people.
