Nature of request
Thomas, Earl of Norfolk & Marshal of England, and the other executors of the testament of Margaret, Queen of England, state that they have letters patent of Edward I, granting them that to carry out the Queen's testament, they might have all the money not levied by the Queen from her tenants for the green wax, and all the money from all the other franchises granted to her, until the day she died; but nevertheless the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer refuse to allow them the arrears of the green wax and the other franchises from her lifetime, or to discharge and acquit her tenants of the money still demanded for the green wax, both that paid to the Queen in her lifetime, and that paid to the executors after her death. They ask that Edward I's grant might be carried out according to its force.

Coram rege.It seems to the auditors that it is to be done if it please the Lord King.The grant is to be examined and put into execution.
