Nature of request
The Bishop of London, and the Dean and Chapter of London, ask the king to order the Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer to allow them the amercements of their tenants, and the chattels of fugitives and felons, and their other franchises; and that they might have the amercement of felons and others in foreign summons and allowances of accounts as they have hitherto had, and as has recently been withdrawn from them.
Nature of endorsement
The Treasurer and Barons of the Exchequer are to be ordered by a Chancery writ on behalf of the Bishop and the Dean and Chapter that, as regards what is contained in the petition, they should cause them to be dealt with in accordance with the terms of the charters and as was wont to be done hitherto.
