John Skelton, esquire, requests exemption for two grants, one of £20 from the hands of the Prior of Coventry, and one of 40 marks from the hands of the Sheriff of Cumberland, from the current act of resumption.
Nature of endorsement
[On face] Per dominum de Cromwell.With regard to the grant of £20, the lords are agreed that it should not come under the resumption, but with regard to the grant of 40 marks, several of the lords think that it should be respited until the end of the answering of the provisions, in case it is taken as a precedent, and that it should then be answered by the king.
