The petitioners, executors of Richard Fitz John of Dunwich, state that in response to a previous petition the King sent letters to John, Count of Hainault, Holland and Zealand, and Lord of Friesland and to Katherine, Lady of Voorne, issued, asking for justice for the petitioners in the matter of three ships, coming with merchandise from Berwick, stolen from Richard and James Pesshoner, and the imprisonment of Richard and the other people in the ships, some of whom died in prison, but that these letters have met with no response. They request withernam (reprisal) against the powers of the Count and of Lady Katherine, according to merchant law.

He is to go to Chancery and have writs of withernam of goods there according to the petition etc., to the sum etc.He is to have writs: to the Sheriff of Kent, £300; to the Mayor of London £216 10s; to the Sheriff of Suffolk and Harwich, £500; to the Bailiffs of Yarmouth, £1000; to the Sheriff of Lincolnshire, £2000.
