The Duke of York states that John Pauncefote, who holds the castle, manor and lordship of Crickhowell of his lordship of Blaenllyfni and Dinas, has attempted to disinherit him by making an enfeoffment to various people of the castle, manor and lordship, which was confirmed in ignorance by the King, on 12 November in his twenty-third year [1444]. He asks the King to annul these proceedings, and to restore him to his previous estate, and John and Thomas might not be hurt in their freehold, inheritance, goods or chattels, by any outlawry pronounced against them in Blaenllyfni and Dinas before 22 March, in the King's twenty-fourth year [1446]; and that these outlawries might be declared void.
