Note
This has been dated on the guard to '? c. 1426' with reference to CPR 1422-9 p.316, a pardon to a number of people, including the petitioner and her husband, for entering a manor without licence, and permission for them to hold it, dated 10 November 1426. CPR 1429-36 p.428 is a licence for her husband to enfeoff various people with lands and for them to regrant them to Hugh and Pernelle, dated 23 October 1434. Neither of these references enable a specific date to be assigned to the petition, though they suggest a date within the time frame they encompass. See SC 8/85/4227, SC 8/85/4230, SC 8/85/4242 and SC 8/86/4269 for other similar petitions from around this period (4227, 4230 and 4242 with similar endorsements).
