Nature of request
John Croxby states that he was sent by William Malet to acquire victuals for the town of Rouen, and that he paid for these, but that he has never been able to have payment in turn, and that when he has tried to sue for it he has been threatened and ill-treated. He requests a writ that those who have done such deeds should come to answer for them.
Nature of endorsement
He is to sue for a guarantee of peace if it seems good to him; and to have restitution, he is to sue at common law.To the lords of this present Parliament for John Croxby.
