Brane requests that he be granted a mark upon wine contained in a Spanish boat at Winchelsea so that he is able to recover his Flemish cloth taken in the ship of Frembaud du Verger off Dover by men of Calais and St Omer during the truce, and which he has been unable to recover.
Nature of endorsement
The king does not wish to grant the mark for certain reasons, but if he wishes it, he can have letters of request granted to him.
