Nature of request
1) Copy of a writ of Edward III to John de Chestillon, escheator of Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire to certify the king the reason for the taking of the manor of Meppershall and the goods of Compton and Baker into the king's hand by Frembaud, late escheator of the counties, and the value of the goods and chattels.2) Certification of the manor of Meppershall, and the goods and chattels of Compton and Baker, stating that John de Meppershall demised the manor to Compton and Baker before he was indicted.
