- Hayward requests remedy as the mayor and other burgesses of Berwick are obliged to him in 80 marks by a recognizance for passage, pesage and tronage in Berwick which amounts to 300 marks before the town fell, but he has been unable to have a writ from the English Chancery for the debt to be met from the goods of the burgesses wherever they are in England.1)
