Nature of request
The prioress and convent request that they can have some relief from the issues of Newcastle as they are totally destroyed by the Scots and will have to disburse otherwise. They also request letters to Cotes prohibiting him from wrongfully exacting tithes from the five vills.
Nature of endorsement
Concerning the first let it be shown to the treasurer because the king wishes that they be aided; and concerning the other they should have a letter.
