1) Bicknor requests that it be ordained that he be served of the next wardship and marriage that comes to the king in Ireland in recompense for the wardship and marriage of the heir of Clahull that he bought from Athy, who had it of the king's gift, part of which has now been granted to Brutoun.2) Bicknor further requests that the king order his writ again to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer of Dublin, as the king ordered them previously . . . the archbishop had received in his houses, mills, parks and fisheries in times of . . . and another writ to enquire for Castlekevin, the castle was knocked down . . . inquisitions were lost in the sea.

Note
Although much of the rest of this file seems to date 1320, this petition appears to be very slightly later, dating to 1321 or shortly thereafter. The events of the archbishop's loss of the wardship are noted in an order to Mortimer of 22 May 1319, but the first two lines of the petition suggest that Mortimer was no longer justice of Ireland, and he was replaced in February 1321 (CCR 1318-23, p.70; CPR 1317-21, p.558). The petition has therefore been assigned the date of c. 1321.
