Note (Additional information about the record)
- On 3 June 1319 Edward II granted custody of St Martins to the sub-prior, reciting the terms of a judgment made under Edward I and the resumption of the advowson from Holy Trinity, Canterbury. This was part of a long-running dispute (see the numerous other petitions on this matter), and it seems likely that this petition formed part of this, and may have been the petition which led to the appointment being made.
