The Clives request a grant of the tax from Ipswich for their lives as their boat was forfeited to the king by a false allegation made by Barde and they are ruined unless regard is given to their situation.

The ship was forfeited to the king, and if he wishes to be put into the case again in the condition that he was with the ship let it be at their peril.
