Nature of request
It is requested that the involvement of Combe in the matter of the provision of counterfeit plate and possession of a blank charter of the Great Seal be enquired of, and that punishment is made as an example to others. Chelcheth pledged Oxonford the plate, but on finding them to be false, it was found that Comb had provided them, and he was thrown out of his office. In addition he was involved with a vicar of Luton in the matter of the blank charter.
Nature of endorsement
Let a writ of this be sent to those before whom judgement was made to bring the indictment before Henry le Scrope and his associates etc., and it is ordered to the same that they do what ought to be done both of the contents of the petition and of the indictment.
