1) Blakebourn requests that regard is given for his service done for the king and his father, serving with 3 armed companions, and being captured twice, and he carried the letters of report from Horsley at the siege of Berwick to the king at Newcastle, and requests the grace and aid of the king that he that he not . . . nor perish.2) He requests grace and aid as he has lost . . . in the Scottish war, and he and his companions have not been paid, and he is in debt in London and elsewhere.

A note at the beginning of file 82 states that all of the petitions in this file appear to belong to the year 1320. The petition certainly has to be after 1318, as the petition refers to the siege and fall of Berwick in that year.
