Birmyngham requests that he be granted for his service against the Irish and Scots £20 of land of the rents that were Weylonde's until the heir comes of age, or that the king will grant a certain sum to be received by assignment from the treasurer in Ireland from debts owed to the king.1)

Note
There is a note at the beginning of this file that states that all of the petitions in this file appear to belong to the year 1320. Although there is an entry in the patent rolls whereby the petitioner received a grant of 20 marks to be taken from escheated lands on 7 June 1319 (CPR 1317-21, p.343), this does not seem to have been made in response to this petition. This is confirmed by an entry in the fine rolls where the escheator of Ireland is ordered to take Welonde's lands into the king's hands on 7 March 1320, so that the petition cannot be any earlier than this (CFR 1319-27, p.18).
