Note
A note at the beginning of file 82 states that all of the petitions in this file appear to belong to the year 1320. However, this petition refers to hay taken in the third year of the king's reign (1309-1310), and although it is by no means unusual for payment for goods taken for the king's use to be delayed for a decade or so, some caution needs to be taken in the definite dating of this petition. The petition does have the same clerks name endorsed on the petition as SC 8/82/4051, so it does seem likely that the petition does date to 1320.
