Criminal statistics for 1880: forwards with detailed report of the attorney general. Statistics show number of offences reported to the police or magistates, number of persons brought before the Magistrates Courts and how cases were disposed of, number of summary convictions, number of indictments and informations in the superior courts, and comparative table showing the number of offences, apprehensions, convictions and acquittals for the last four years. Figures broken down by type of offence, e.g. offences against the person, praedial larceny, other offences against property.
