Colonial Office minutes note that Colonel Clements has accepted a post of magistrate in Gibraltar, and that Colonel Elliott of British Guiana has accepted the post of chief of police in Barbados. A further note suggests offering the post of inspector of prisons in British Guiana to Major Grey of the Straits Settlements.
