Description

Reference to despatch about the arrival of French convicts in St. Lucia, Rawson writes that finding that the Governor of French Guiana had decided on recommending liberated convicts not to go to St. Lucia or Trinidad, and that a law existed in Grenada which enabled the Government 'to give effect to the inclination of the inhabitants to expell this class of man', wrote to the Governor of French Guiana about this and governor replied that Grenada will also be pointed out as an island to be avoided.
