Granby to Holdernesse: they have heard it confidently reported that the Brest fleet is totally defeated [Quiberon Bay] and are impatient for details. The hereditary prince has captured three battalions of Württemberg grenadiers. He has left Fulda and marched to Herbstein. The enemy have quit their camps and are marching for Frankfurt. Letters from the king of Prussia give hope that General Daun will soon have to retire into Bohemia. Dated at 'Kroffdorf'. ff. 136, 137
