Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to Holdernesse: the reasons the king will have no dealings with the queen-empress are evident. He profited from his victory [Krefeld] to take Roermond and send detachments as far as the gates of Louvain, and is pleased that this is now authorized by the king's declaration. The enemy is still in the environs of Cologne. Brunswick can advance no further without a base on the Rhine. Dated at 'Hauss zur Dyck'. ff. 129, 130
