Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick to George II: he thanks the king for his praise and can think of no more agreeable task than giving the troops the king's thanks. He welcomes the decision to give the landgrave of Hesse an extraordinary subsidy. If the corps of English cavalry were followed by 8 or 9 battalions of infantry, he could wish for no more.
