Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: the king, anxious that the army should act offensively, has decided to reinforce it with some squadrons of the best English cavalry. They will disembark at Emden. Brunswick is to issue the necessary orders. The troops under the duke of Marlborough are detained by contrary winds in the bay of Cancale. He encloses news from France.
