Holdernesse to Commissary Michael Hatton: the king was concerned at Hatton's report of the disembarkation site, but depends upon his officers to overcome the difficulties. The delay in sending money was probably due to the disruption of posts between England and the Netherlands by two French privateers. Dated at Whitehall. ff. 41, 42
