Holdernesse to Prince Ferdinand of Brunswick: negotiations are being carried out with Baron von Knyphausen regarding the landgrave of Hesse's claims. Although all his demands cannot be met, a compromise should be possible. Seventeen battalions are in readiness on the Isle of Wight to make a diversionary attack on the French coast.
