Holdernesse to Colonel Thomas Brudenell: the magistrates of Emden are to be informed of the king's intention of sending a body of cavalry to reinforce Prince Ferdinand's army. Brudenell is to see how the horses may be disembarked. The duke of Marlborough's landing at Cancalle. Prince Ferdinand's victory at Krefeld. He names the regiments (Horse Guards, Howard's, Enniskillens, Mordaunt's) to join Ferdinand's army. Dated at Whitehall. ff. 12-15
