Description

Three small appointments made under the authority of the act for regulating and fixing the salaries of public officers and the temporary promotion of the Junior Clerk in the Secretary's Office to the Chief Clerkship; Mr. William L. Mitchell to be Junior Clerk in the Colonial Secretary's Office; Mr. Philip Darnell Davis to be Clerk in the Auditor's Office; Mr. James Julien St. Bernard to be Acting Junior Clerk [William L. Mitchell appointed Acting Chief Clerk]; Mr. David Gloster Garraway to be Clerk in the Marshall's office.
