Forms a copy of a section of a hearth tax assessment book, and is the third of a series of books (E 179/222/300/1-5) presented as evidence in the case of Morgan, Price & Pugh v Hodgkin, a legal case concerning the sub-farmer of the hearth tax in Wales for the period 1666-9. Further material is at E 134/24Chas2/East29. The Yale section was apparently copied from E 179/222/300/6.
