Description

R Irvine to Holdernesse: dispositions of French troops. The French have admitted the defeat of the count d'Aché by Admiral Pocock on the Coromandel coast. D'Aché has retired to the Île de Bourbon [Réunion]. Capture of an English factory in the Persian Gulf. He lists the French ships at the battle. Dated at Flushing. ff. 249-251
