R Irvine to [Under Secretary] Richard Potenger: Captain Thurot has left Dunkirk basin and is now in the roads with the Belle-Isle, La Blonde, Le Begon, La Terpsichore, L'Amaranthe, two other ships from the basin, a ship from Boulogne and four cutters. None of the seamen has been paid. This may be a diversion from the more powerful fleet at Brest. Dated at Flushing. ff. 181, 182
