R Irvine to [Under Secretary] Richard Potenger: eleven Dutch scouts with artillery are expected in Ostend for the flat-bottomed boats. The Dutch admiralty must be privy to this. The prince de Soubise has left for Paris to make his report to the court. Works on the harbour and fortifications at Dunkirk continue. He doubts whether Thurot's squadron will come out that year.
