R Irvine to [Under Secretary] James Wallace: all French troops east of Brest have been ordered to be in readiness to march. Rumours of their dispositions, and of cooperation between the French and Dutch suggesting a French-Austrian-Dutch alliance. There are three Dutch ships of the line in Flushing. The Danaë and Harmonie have been loaded with provisions at Dunkirk. Dated at Flushing. ff. 127, 128
