R Irvine to [Under Secretary] James Wallace: the frigates Danaë, Harmonie and Terpsichore are being equipped at Dunkirk. It is conjectured they will transport 3,000 hogs to Brest. He urges an attack on them. Scouring of the channel and pressing of seamen at Dunkirk. Ships in the harbour there. Fortifications being strengthened there. Possible return of packet boats to Ostend. Dated at Flushing. ff. 116-118
