R Irvine to [Under Secretary] James Wallace: the two French frigates are still at Zuider Zee, and one of their prizes has been possessed by the Dutch. The frigate La Terpsichore is being fitted out at Dunkirk and is expected to sail for Brest or Rochefort. A new ship, the Hope, has sailed from Dunkirk for the North Sea, and the snow Marquis de Barrail has sent in a captured Scottish collier. Dutch insurers will not underwrite ships trading with France or her colonies. Dated at Flushing. ff. 80, 81
