Description

Detention against his will of a British subject on board U.S. Gun boat Ottowav at St. John River, Florida; petition from Elizabeth Powell, who writes that her son, Bridgeman Hewitson Grant, has been detained by the Naval Service of the United States against his will and after his term of service had expired.

Lieutenant Governor Mundy, forwarded by James Walker, Governor of Windward Islands, Grenada No. 192, Folios 295 - 300.
