Boyd to Holdernesse, partly in cipher: he quotes from a letter found on a captured French courier on the importance of sending reinforcements to Louisburg. Surrender of Rotenburg and abandonment of Ottersberg and Verden. Capture of Hoya and its bridge. Much of the army has crossed the river Aller. Dated at headquarters at Hudemühlen. ff. 6-9
