R Irvine to [Under Secretary] James Wallace: captures made by French ships from Dunkirk including Maurepas, Count St Germain and Hirondelle. If the coast is not better guarded they will take all the packets before the end of the month. Cantonments are marked out around Dunkirk for 20 battalions and 30 squadrons. The express from Belle-Isle to Guepin was with passports for two ships with provisions for the West Indies. Dated at Flushing. ff. 17-19
