Description

Amherst 'To the Lieutenant commanding one of His Majesty's armed cutters off the 'Swinge' or the first that may appear there': Prince Ferdinand has resoved to besiege the castle of Harburg. The lieutenant is to proceed with the cutter to the Elbe opposite 'Overn' to prevent communication between the enemy and the castle. Dated at headquarters at Ronneburg. ff. 167, 168
