Acting Chief Justice, Mr. Shervington - Dispute with the Colonial Secretary; two despatches from Lieutenant Governor Cornelius Hendricksen Kortright with various relevant enclosures. James Walker writes 'the latter of these is written with the object of bringing under Your Grace's notice the libellous manner in which the Lieut Governor's conduct has been aspersed by the Grenada Chronicle … [combined with the previous despatch] the accompanying papers will present a melancholy view of the state of society in Grenada and afford no very encouraging prospect for Mr. Kortright's successor.'
