Description

The attorney general's report on the acts of 1872 (acts not included in volume). Acts include:

  • No. 1 'to provide for the performance of the duties of the Speaker of the Assembly during temporary absence',
  • No. 2 'Supply and Appropriation Act',
  • No. 3 'to aid in the maintenance of common schools',
  • No. 4 'to continue the Common Law Procedure Act 1868',
  • No. 5 'to continue indefinitely an act to provide for certain parish meetings being held elsewhere then at the parish churches',
  • No. 6 'to continue an act further to amend the Police Acts passed in the year 1870',
  • No. 7 'to encourage the destruction of crows and for the protection and preservation of small birds',
  • No. 8 'to provide for a more accurate registration of the causes of death',
  • No. 9 'further to amend the Post Office Act of 1864',
  • No. 10 'relating to the payment of jurors, witnesses, and constables attending the Court of General Assize and Quarter Sessions of the Peace and other Courts',
  • No. 11 'to provide for the greater security of persons travelling in steam boats',
  • No. 12 'relating to the apprehension of persons charged with offences',
  • No. 13 'to continue the Causeway Act of 1870',
  • No. 14 'to validate certain marriages',
  • No. 15 'to appropriate to the public service certain fees which have accrued to the secretary's office in certain conditions',
  • No. 16 'to amend the law relating to offences against the person and other offences',
  • No. 17 'in addition to the Clergy Act 1869',
  • No. 18 'to quiet possession of estates against claims by the Crown',
  • No. 19 'to provide additional steam communication with New York'.
