Description

Forwards a memo compiled by two member of the commission, James Wilkes and John D Cleaton, concerning the proposed conversion of Devonshire College into a Lunatic Asylum; encloses the building's plans and a copy of 'instructions for the guidance of architects in the construction of asylums in England' (plans and instructions not included in volume).
