Arrival of Indian and African immigrants on the ship Athlete from Calcutta and St. Helena; arrived 25 March 1862 with 343 Indian labourers from Calcutta and 57 Africans from St. Helena; deaths of 4 male Indian migrants and 2 Indian children and 2 male African migrants and 1 further death after arrival in the Port.
