Description

Dissolution of the House of Assembly by Kortright; new one summoned to meet on 12 March 1862; according to Kortright the reason for dissolution was the large increase in the number of registered voters who need to exercise the franchise; enclosed Return showing the number of voters registered during the years 1856, 1861 and 1862; enclosed printed addresses: Address to the Roman Catholics of Grenada, 1 February 1862, signed by Thomas B. Coyle, P. P., F. DeCasta, P. P., A. Wall, P. P., T. Smith, P. P., L. H. Gastillon, P. P.; Address to the Independent Electors of Grenada, 27 January 1862, signed by An Anti-Jacobin.
